Another Daemonic Poem

The Memory

The memory, another scar,
Etched into my being,
Cold steel,
Cutting into flesh,
An intricate design,
Colored in dark red,
Like the pedals of a rose,
Unfolding, blooming,
Pain,
A thousand sharp thorns,
Rip and tear,
Forging a new pattern,
As the pedals slowly fall,
Drifting away,
On the tide of awareness,
Is this memory of life,
Death,
Or a broken dream?

It Was Oil, All Along

"Oh, no, they told us, Iraq isn't a war about oil. That's cynical and simplistic, they said. It's about terror and al-Qaeda and toppling a dictator and spreading democracy and protecting ourselves from weapons of mass destruction. But one by one, these concocted rationales went up in smoke, fire and ashes. And now the bottom line turns out to be ... the bottom line. It is about oil."

Daemonic Poetry - Part 2

Friendship

Mist shrouded darkness
Covers blood soaked loam
The screams of the dying
Guiding you home.

Watching glowing eyes
Of the night time beasts
As they feast on the flesh
Of the recent deceased.

Pain and torture
From times untold
Now added to this
How much can you hold?

Threading your way
Through blood and bones
As their defiant curses
Become nothing but moans.

You gather the energy
That their pain brings
Your weapon of choice
Through you it sings.

You come upon one
Whom you once called friend
Now maimed and broken
Nearing the end.

Seeing hatred and anger
In those pain ravaged eyes
Shows you the truth
Of their whispered lies.

Slowly you kneel
And their pain you take
With one last stab
They make the fatal mistake.

Back through them courses
Their pain and yours
Bringing their energy
Up from their core.

Fear and terror
Now fills their eyes
They know what you'll do
As you watch them die.

You take their energy
And make it your own
Their folly has ended
Your power has grown.

The Patriot's Dream

Bill Moyers speech to the National Conference for Media Reform, on the decline of real and honest journalism at the hands of corporations that are buying up news outlets in America Media today and manipulating them for their own benefit and profit.

It is kind of long but more than worth the time to watch it.

a little daemonic poetry...

Nemesis

Quietly stalking through the shadowed halls
Scarcely hearing as your footsteps fall
Waiting intently to hear the sound
To let you know the one sought is found

Time was before they tried to break you
Grind and shape, completely remake you
A tool used for their every desire
And to obtain that which they require

They thought they had you well trained and bound
To serve them as their most faithful hound
Those whom they might name with their demand
To hunt and kill upon their command

Your power and skills having now well grown
That which you take you keep as your own
Bonds once tight, now hang limp and tattered
Chains and shackles have now been shattered

The Masters have now become the prey
For all the pain it is time to pay
The sword once sharpened at their behest
Now looks for them in this final quest

The once gleaming edge, now dulled with red
You seek the next one whose blood you'll shed
Beyond the arch you can hear the sounds
Of ragged breath, and a heart that pounds

No pity for that scared pleading eye
As they sense that it's their turn to die
You'll now end this game they sought to play
Uncaring, leave their flesh to decay

Leaving behind the blood splattered walls
You continue down the now silent halls
Waiting intently to hear the sound
To let you know the one sought is found...
