Explore the Orthodox Faith as Jesus Christ established it, as the Apostles proclaimed it, as the Bishops preserve it, and as the Saints live it. Serious inquirers, both Orthodox and heterodox, are welcome.

Hello;
If you've ever thought about leading a Bible class, then here's an opportunity to test your knowledge and try your patience.
Leaders need not be infallible to conduct a class, but they do at least have to sincerely believe themselves competent, plus willing to take the risk.
» Jas 3:1 . . Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we shall incur a stricter judgment.
If there is one moral value that I know for sure the Lord approves, it's integrity. What I'm saying is: mistakes are to be expected-- just be sure yours are honest mistakes.
I have no intention of playing the role of Big Brother, Truth Police, or Misinformation Watchdog. I may not agree with your perspectives nor your interpretations, and may even sometimes regard them spawned in Hell; but will do my best to respect your right to express them in a free-speaking, town square setting.
Teaching is not a walk in the park. It takes a bit of alligator to survive because the minute you set yourself up as a leader, people will start throwing rocks, hounding you, finding fault, and coming down on you with ad hominems and cruel remarks about your competence, your methods, your manners, and your IQ. So expect attacks; and when they come; roll with the punches.
» 2Tim 2:23-24 . . I say, don't get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. The Lord's servants must not quarrel, but must be kind to everyone. They must be able to teach effectively and be patient with difficult people.
It's often said: A man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still. In other words: don't expect to change people's beliefs with logic, iron clad proofs, and/or bullet proof reasoning because the beliefs that folks hold dear in their heart will usually always trump the beliefs in your head no matter how skillfully you defend them.
If you set out to teach an entire Old Testament book, a gospel, or an epistle; please do not create threads for each chapter. For example Genesis consists of fifty chapters. Confining all fifty to the same thread, instead of spreading them out in fifty separate threads, will avoid unnecessary clutter and make it easier for viewers to navigate the menus.
One more thing: I prefer that only non-denominational views be taught here. Please do not set up a soap box for specific systems like Catholicism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Christian Science, Seventh Day Adventist, Unification, Christadelphian, and/or whatever else the shoe fits.
Thank You; and try to have fun.

All that may be known of God for our salvation, especially His wisdom, love, goodness, grace and mercy on which the life of our souls depends — are represented to us in all their splendor in and through Christ. No wonder then that Christ is glorious, precious and all together lovely in the eyes of believers!

Your home for Jewish education, conversation, and chat. While we are a Jewish forum, God's Noachide laws are one of our central themes. The Noachide laws are God's laws for all humankind, Jew and non-Jew alike, and God requires everyone to know these laws and live by them. Jew and non-Jew both come into Chevra Eliahu to discuss and to learn, and to have a grand time in the process. You are all invited. Be our honored guests.
