Labor Day!

Saturday I was found in the kitchen making rolladin and red cabbage for company on Sunday.  It was very good.  Yes, it is September 1 - for me I think of this as the beginning of a new year - school starts, organizations begin their new year too. Everything seems to rev up at this time of year.  One of the bloggers suggested a topic for today "getting ready for the first day of school."  I don't have any great stories to tell about getting ready for school except for getting my uniform ready.  We wore navy blue jumpers, white blouses, a little clip on tie, navy knee socks, and saddle shoes.  I vaguely remember getting a school bag and a lunch box.

Last night I scanned a pile of photographs and post cards from my grandfather's album (some dated early 1900). Now I need to upload them to my PC, identify and tag them, and file them in folders. I am so happy to have gotten this done.  There were a couple of over-sized photos and I will scan them on the printer upstairs.  I have three scanners - the printer, a wand, and the flip-pal.   I'll have to think about uploading some of them to my Weebly page.

Angie (AGWILDERMAN)The joy of my life is my family - and the latest additions to my family are my grandsons. I'm an avid genealogist a "wanna be beader" and gardener. Always on the quest to learn about something, in online classes is where you will find me. At the present time, DNA is the hot topic. The past several years have been very hectic as I was regent a  DAR chapter. We are in the process of organizing a new chapter so busyness continues.  These positions have taken me far from the things that interest me most - genealogical research - except for my family but has introduced me to many new people and opportunities.
