I'm a 30-something SAHM, wife, self-employed photographer, and I
recently started my business with
THE BODY
SHOP at Home as an independent consultant in West MI. I have
also been fairly successful the past 3 years in my
Low-Carb way of life. This Spring I started running and completed my first half-marathon (13.1 miles) 2 days before Halloween.
In my pre-kid life
I was a professional college student...I'd still do that if I could
figure out a way to make at least $20k while taking classes in whatever
subjects appeal to me at the moment. Right now I would love to do
page-layout and some writing for a publication...like a local/regional
magazine. I just need to take a couple of courses in publishing
software (Quark XPress, Illustrator) and I'd be good to go. Once the
prawn of my loins is in school full-time I will probably try to do
that.
DS is 5.5 going on 15 and obsessed with
anything that has wheels. DH (mechanical engineer by day, Superdad by
night...check out his
MySpace profile and
his blog epistle-izing his training for the upcoming
JDRF benefit bike
ride in Death Valley this Fall) is also obsessed with
wheeled-objects -- namely his fully carbon-framed touring bike that
until recently (thanks to the addition of "Dash") cost more than both
of our cars are worth...combined.
