Thursday evening the families gathered together with a pasta dinner.  Then on Friday, the rehearsal dinner was at the Country Club of the Highlands.  The dinner was excellent.  There were three entrees:  pork medallions, salmon, and a chicken Florentine roulade.  To top it off we had pumpkin cheesecake.

On Saturday, the groom awaited his bride and broke out with a big smile when he saw her coming down the aisle. The ceremony took place in the "gazebo" with a fire in the fireplace (the flaps were down to keep the area warm).   Jacob, the Methodist minister, performed the ceremony.  Joseph played the guitar.  Zena's dad sang. Two nieces dropped pink petals down the aisle and Lukas and another nephew had a job to do when they recessed - they carried a plaque that said "lived happy ever after."  The reception began with  the introduction of the wedding party and then we played three games of bingo. Scott played music. The food was excellent.  Erin and Zenetta toasted the couple and Jason and John toasted Rob and Zena but it was more like a roast.  They played on Rob's interest in baseball teams. The reception was a lot of fun.

God bless them and their life together.
