New ideas

We had a really good genealogy round table session on Saturday.  There were five or six of us in the library and the discussion was all about software, numbering systems, writing the family history narrative, and filing papers either paper files or digital.  I've been busy doing my family genealogy this past week.  I've sorted through papers and examined family relationships.  Trying to put the families together correctly is not easy.  Family traditions are not always correct and it is often difficult to put those stories aside to see other possibilities.

A new Kirksey researcher contacted me on this site.  It has been ages since someone new has reached out with questions. Some of the questions had easy answers but who Mary Alice Kirksey is and who her parents are is not going to be as easy.

Tonight there was a webinar on probate records.  A webinar is a resounding success when you take away one or two new ideas or clarifications on a subject.  The webinar tonight was a resounding success.

About the Author
Angie (AGWILDERMAN)The joy of my life is my family - and the latest additions to my family are my grandsons. I'm an avid genealogist a "wanna be beader" and gardener. Always on the quest to learn about something, in online classes is where you will find me. At the present time, DNA is the hot topic. The past several years have been very hectic as I was regent a  DAR chapter. We are in the process of organizing a new chapter so busyness continues.  These positions have taken me far from the things that interest me most - genealogical research - except for my family but has introduced me to many new people and opportunities.
