Recruitment fraud

Public sector agencies employing external recruiters should direct that key word culling software not be used to read employment applications and a minimum of 15 minutes be given to assessing applications, NOT 6 seconds or 2 or 3 minutes.

They should not employ companies that exhibit the behaviours and use of technology described below.

Many of you out there seeking a job will have experienced hundreds of these rejection letters. Impersonal, clique and anonymous, THE RECRUITMENT TEAM. They hide the advertiser and employer and use NO REPLY email messages. They are cowards and manipulators, rent seekers on the pubic and private purse,

They cloak their racism, ageism & lack of talent behind smoke and mirrors and technology and they lie about having given your application deep consideration. They also I think lie about getting a lot of candidates better suited. I think they are measuring against a criteria, and direction from their client, they did not tell you abou up front.

Recruiters and HR employment personnel are one of the only industries in Australia that operate with impunity beyond the eyes, and the rules, of the ACCC - many if not all are engaging every day in false and misleading advertising or have a cute way of skirting the border lines staying just inside rules. They offer no evidence or proof that:

The job actually exists?

That they are not fishing for resumes

Or the reason that the client in many cases is not identified?

They claim, in their rejection letters, that the  client has given them very specific instructions and the type of person they want but these very specific requirements and characteristics are not outlined in the job advertisement.

Job boards facilitate these type of advertisements as their clients self load and place the ads.

Recruitment companies have slid into the shallow marketing, and lower ethics, of the modern day. The staff have to meet thir revenue numbers. They have to plough through and manufacture.

Recruitment companies are like real estate,, used car dealers, and the other low entry to the market (anyone can be a recruiter)  they are everywhere.

They have the advantage because you do not know if it is all true.

The big companies give their clients assurances that if their pick does not work out they will find another candidate for the client at no charge. so they can ameliorate the risk of the culling software and the 6 second - to 3 minute glance at a resume.

The big names in the recruitment world maybe just another VW clone?  They are in search of getting the revenue target and will do whatever it takes?

They are balancing risk against numbers in a callous impartial, and immoral, exercise to meet revenue targets.

How many of you have seen these?

"Thank you for sending your resume applying for the advertised position of Chief Executive Officer (redacted). The overall response was very high, both in quality and quantity and the short list interview selection process has been particularly difficult.

While your background and experience are impressive, we feel that some candidates had qualifications and experience which more specifically met our clients brief. We are writing to advise you that unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful in this instance.

Whilst at this time we are not able to assist you in your job search, we would like to thank you for your interest in the role and our site and for taking the time to submit your application.

Please accept our best wishes for the future and should you see another role on our website, we would welcome your application.

Yours sincerely,

The Recruitment Team",

If these recruitment companies operated a business with fundamental  ethics and morals their advertisements would come with disclaimers saying " we use bots and technology to cull your application and we will give you cursory examination for six seconds, we will tell you how many applicants and of the above statements in your rejection letter are true if you exercise your right of rely.

That the world's population of job seekers tolerate their efforts (that take them hours) being denigrated by a myriad of "commercial oriented and driven recruitment specialists using software and a cursory six seconds says something about the nature of many people in accepting how they are treated.

That potential employers  allow people's careers and aspirations to be treated menially is an indictment of the character of the people in charge of the organisations.

Talent and potential is measured in 6 seconds. Is this true?
